Chile is the 6th largest producer of wine in the world and is home to South America's largest wine producer (Concha y Toro). Their numbers are staggering: annual production is equivalent to 30 million bottles, which even the An Ordinary Place wine connoisseurs will struggle to put away this Christmas. But if you have ever visited a vinyard, you'll know that they can still be havens of peace and tranquility, while in some dark cellar, the grape juice, the yeast and the barrels go slowly and quietly about their business...
