The contre-jour commute

22 February 2024

The low morning sun is blinding in San Pedro. Many of the tourist buses leave before sunrise, so the residents' commutes - such as they are - are fairly stress-free, provided the sun is on their back. This 'boulevard' is off limits to cars and trucks; at least cyclists and pedestrians don't kick up a lot of dust as they pass by.

*contre-jour = against the day(light)
