Porty ferret

Portobello is Edinburgh's own wee seaside resort (although those from Leith may argue it belongs to them). Its sandy beach and esplanade have variously been the preserve of well-to-do Victorians, entrepreneurial Edwardians, and post-war working class day trippers.

More recently, Porty has rocked a somewhat bohemian vibe: artists, open water swimmers, random musicians, beach volleyballers, rowers, film-makers, restauranteurs, and even the odd photographer, hang out together on the prom. And while dog walkers are abundant throughout the year, even taking your ferret for a morning stroll doesn't turn many heads down Portobello way...
