Rain 'n retail

In a week where summer seems to have finally got off the bus in Edinburgh, I thought I'd post an image taken in December when daylight hours are at a premium and high street shops tempt us away from the early onset of darkness with warm colours and (sometimes) cosy, dry interiors. As I head off to the seaside for ice cream and a cold libation, it occurs to me that photography is all about contrasts...
