Christmas in July

Nonetheless, as it is Christmas… I am reminded of a curious day spent visiting the annual World Santa Claus Congress in Bakken, near Copenhagen in Denmark, back in 2008. A distinctly odd, but very friendly event, with more Santas, Mrs Claus, and elves, than you could shake a reindeer antler at. And made all the more surreal because the event was held in the relative heat of a Danish summer…
