Ebenezer unleaded

Not your average city-centre petrol pump, this lonely dispenser of fuel is next door to the Mount Ebenezer roadhouse in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Under the breathtaking wide-open skies in the centre of the continent, these tiny roadside services seemed very much out on their own.

This image was taken in 2015 when the roadhouse was open, but sadly, last we heard, it had closed permanently…
