Dog tired

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, has more than its fair share of stray dogs. However, the residents of the town seem to enjoy having them around, taking turns feeding their canine cohabitants, dog and human rubbing along quite nicely. As is their habit, the dogs form packs, and mutts wandering around are greeted with a chorus of barks and howls should they intrude on another pack's territory. But generally the dogs just hang out and relax between meals. This one has sensibly found a shady spot to ponder life and have great thoughts while one local business frets on acquiring a barman in time for the tourist high season.
