Danish blue

Copenhagen is a city which, more than most, eschews the headlong rush for fatuous plate-glass monuments to urban excess (I'm looking at you, Gherkin and Shard...) and tries to preserve the village mind set. As such, it's a great walking and cycling city, with some beguiling nooks and crannies seemingly down every street. Bicycles are everywhere of course, and some - like the redoubtable Raleigh in this photo - have seen a lot of action, but they are still the vehicle of choice in this most civilised or European capitals.
